Eduardo Sirotsky Melzer aka Duda is a prominent Brazilian businessman and is the President and Chairperson of RBS Group. Duda was born in 1972. He comes from a lineage of the successful and entrepreneurial family. His grandfather was the founder of the Brazilian media conglomerate, RBS Group which covers the Brazilian states of Santa Catarina and the Rio Grande do Sul. The company has over 12 radio stations and is affiliated to Rede Globo and has three magazines to Mr. Duda is also the chairman of the Board of Directors of the RBS Group.
He holds a Business Administration degree from Pontifical Catholic University. Mr. Duda Melzer also has an MBA from Harvard University as well as other two executive certificates from the same institution. So far, he has become a renowned personality in the world of business in Brazil and the world at large due to his impact in improving the business environment. Eduardo Sirotsky Melzer started his career in North America as a Senior Financial Analyst at Delphi Corporation in 2002. While still in America, he worked at BoxTop as the director general and at Family Communication Network before joining RBS Group in 2004 as the company’s Director General of the National market.
According to Globo, in 2012, Duda was appointed the chairman of RBS Group and he became its Board Chairman in 2015. Under his leadership, the company has undergone many structural changes which have seen it become more successful. The company has received many awards due to its role in the society. In 2014 it was recognized as among the three most influential media and internet companies that have created value for their audiences. On the personal capacity, Melzer has won the Cabore Award and the Colectiva.net Award in Marketing and Communication.
